Stolen from table at Happy's Flea Market in Roanoke, Virginia, on June 19, 2010 between 7 and 7:30 AM.
Confederate patriotic cover addressed to Mr. James Farmer, Abingdon, Virginia, 54th Virginia Regt., Co. F.; care of Col. R. C. Trigg. Addressed by Farmer's wife in Pulaski, Virginia. to him. Colonel Trigg's brigade was in Preston's Division, Buckners Corps. Large Mounted Dragoon Patriotic Cover Dietz Type SM-1 with Verse 7 "To arms! to arms! quick, be ready, Think of what the South has been: Onward! Onward! strong and steady, Drive the vandals to their den. On, and let the watch-word be: Country, home and liberty!" Condition is good with light edge wear and some tanning.
